Born 1976 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and completed post-graduate course led by Leonid Bobylev. Attended master classes given by many Russian and foreign composers. Compositions won awards in Russia, France and Great Britain. In 2003 he won
the Grand Prix of the International Gaudeamus Competition in the Netherlands. In 2010 - Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award (Switzerland). Guest of the Berliner Kuenstlerprogramm 2008.Ensemble 2e2m (France) composer-in-residence 2010.Winner of 2011 Johann Joseph Fux opera composition competition (Austria). Dmitri Kourliandski’s music is regularly played in concerts and at festivals held in many Russian cities, CIS, Argentina, Australia, Austria (Klangspuren, Aspekte Festival), Belgium (Music@venture), Canada, China, Italy (Venice biennale, Transart), Finland (Musica nova, Time of Music), France (Music Strasbourg), Germany (Donaueschingen, Dresden festival, MaerzMusik, Schleswig-Holstein and
others), Great Britain (Huddersfield, Oxford),Greece (Athens festival),Japan, the Netherlands (Gaudeamus), Poland (Warsaw autumn), Serbia, Spain, Sweden (ISCM World music days), Switzerland (Archipel), and is broadcast worldwide. Dmitri Kourliandski worked with such conductors as Teodor Currentzis, Reinbert de Leeuw, Roland Kluttig, Pierre Roullier, Zsolt Nagy, Jurjen Hempel, Giorgio Bernasconi and others. His compositions were played by many Russian and European orchestras and ensembles, such as SWR orchestra, MusicAeterna, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Yekaterinburg philharmonic orchestra, J.Futura orchestra, Tatiana Grindenko and Opus Posth, KlangForum Wien, ASKO and Schoenberg ensembles, InterContemporain, 2E2M, L’Itineraire, Contrechamps, Elision, KNM, Aleph, Slagwerkgroep den Haag, Champ d’action, Kairos quartet, Sonar quartet, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, eNsemble, Studio for New Music and many others. He has received commissions
from many Russian and European festivals, ensembles and foundations.
Victoria Korshunova (Moscow)

Victoria Korshunova was born in Volgograd, Russia. In 1986 graduated from Theory-Composition faculty of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, in 1989 graduated from post-graduated course of Moscow Conservatory (dissertation is “The Heuristic problems of the Russian contemporary music).In 1990 – 1994 she was an assistant of Edison Denisov and scientific secretary of the Russian Association for Contemporary Music - ACM (president was Edison Denisov) and worked at the Russian Composers Union. Since 1991 till the present time she is a general manager and director of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble – MCME. Since 2004 she is a director of the ISCM – Russian section. She is also a founder and a general director of Centre for New Music Initiatives (from 2009). Since 2010 Victoria Korshunova together with Russian composers Dmitry Kourliandski founded the International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city (Ural, Russia), being its general manager. In 1994 Victoria Korshunova received a Grant from Japan Foundation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for cycle of lectures dedicated to the Russian contemporary music. She has written a lot of scientist researches and articles as well as a critics, interview and announcements devoted to the international and Russian contemporary music (more than 200 items). Her main activity is a promotion of contemporary music in Russia and abroad. She organized a lot of international contemporary music projects, among which are “All-Russian concert series CONTEMPORARY MUSIC” which took place in 85 Russian cities, Finnish-Russian festivals “Together!” (10 Russian cities), “Russia – the Netherlands. Music parallels” (20 Russian cities) , “California Contemporary” (Moscow), “Premieres by young Russian composers abroad” (the Netherlands, Germany, Cyprus, Macedonia, Italy, etc), multimedia project “Light – Symbol – Sound” (Moscow), “RE:Construction” (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg) and many others. Each year together with the partner from many countries she organizes more than 30 international music project.
Igor Mashukov (Perm)
Composer, executive director of the Academy
Was born in Perm in 1959. In 1989 he graduated from the Moscow Gnesin State Musical-Pedagogical Institute in the classes of N. Peiko (composition, instrumentation), A.Nemtin (electronics), G.Litinsky and A.Tchugaev (counterpoint). From 1990 till now-days Igor Mashukov is a professor of the Perm State Pedagogical University (from 2005 as the senior lecturer) and the Perm Musical College. From 1998 he is a Chairman of the Perm Composers Union. Igor Mashukov’s music is regularly performed by leading Russian orchestras and ensembles such as Sverdlovsk Philharmonics Symphony Orchestra, Perm Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Perm Choir «Mlada», Perm Philharmonics soloists and others. His pieces were played in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Kirov, Perm and other cities. Igor Mashukov is author one of the first Russian electronics ballet, commissioned by E.Panfilov Theater (1991). In 2004 Igor
Mashukov became a Laureate of Award in Culture and Arts of Perm region. In 2005 he was awarded by a medal «Mercy» (a foundation “Patrons of Century”). In 2015 he was awarded by the N. N. Serebrennikov Award of city of Perm with the sphere of culture and art.
Xenia Anufrieva (Nizhny Novgorod)
Musicologist, curator of the musicological direction of the Academy
Xenia Anufrieva - Candidate of Art Criticism, senior researcher in the National Centre for Contemporary Arts Volga branch (Nizhny Novgorod). Musicologist, teaching in Nizhny Novgorod musical college. Graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory and the program "Cultural Journalism" in ProArte Institute (St. Petersburg). Project manager in the field of contemporary music, the author of the project "CM-21." Curator of the project "Opera MAREVO" (national award for contemporary art "Innovation" in 2013).
Alexander Khubeev (Perm)
Composer, coordinator of the Academy
Alexander Khubeev was born in 1986 in city Perm (Russia). He graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2011, finished post-graduate studies in 2014 (class of composition of Yuri Kasparov, class of electronic composition of Igor Kefalidis). Alexander Khubeev won awards in Argentina, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, USA. In 2014 he received scholarship of Darmstadt Courses, in 2015 he became Gaudeamus prize winner in Netherlands. His music is played in concerts held in Austria, Argentina, Armenia, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, UK, Ukraine, USA on such festivals as “Venice Biennale”, “Darmstadt Ferienkurse”, “MATA”, “Quandensprunge”, “Gaudeamus Musicweek”, “Transit Festival”, “Pharos International Contemporary Music Festival”, “Moscow Forum”, “Diaghilev Festival”, ”Moscow Autumn” and many others. His compositions were played by such ensembles as Nadar, Slagwerk den Haag, Blackpage Orchestra, Insomnio, Uusinta, Vortex, Aleph, ExNovo, Vertixe Sonora, IEMA, Illinois Modern Ensemble, DAMUS, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, The Studio for New Music Ensemble, Percussion ensemble of Mark Pekarsky, GAM-ensemble, eNsemble, string quartet “Cantando”. Composer in residence of GAM-ensemble in 2011. Member of Russian Composer's Union.
Oleg Krokhalev (Perm)
Composer, coordinator of the Academy
Oleg Krokhalev was born in 1992 in Perm (Russia). He graduated from Perm Music College and currently is on his 3rd year at the Moscow State Conservatory studying composition with V.G. Tarnopolski. He has participated in the II, III, IV, V Academies for Young Composers as a coordinator and an interpreter, having privet lessons with and attending lectures of Klaus Lang, Mark Andre, Jean-Luc Herve, Antoine Beuger, Philippe Leroux, Francesco Filidei, Beat Furrer, Peter Ablinger and Raphael Cendo, as well as having consulted with Dmitry Kourliandsky and Sergej Newski. He has participated in the SoTa (contemporary dance studio) laboratory at the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre and took part at the concert/discussion "Presentation" (2016). His music was performed by the MCME and the Studio for New Music Ensemble.
Leonid Imennykh (Perm)
Composer, coordinator of the Academy
Leonid Imennykh born in Perm in 1989. College diploma of event & theater director.He is autodidact composer. Founder & manager of contemporary music ensemble "Sphaera Octava", multi-instrumentalist member of musical ethnic project "Voronovo Krylo". Leonid has
participated in master classes·of Colin Roche,·Pierluigi Billone, Franck Bedrossian, Simon Steen-Andersen, Helmut Zapf. He created the movie “Little Heroes” dedicated to contemporary music and composers.
